What gets you a quote fastest

A drawing, if you have one
PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP or a photo of a paper drawing. With a drawing you can skip the dimension boxes.
Otherwise, the old part
Segment count, commutator diameter, riser diameter, bore and the lengths. Measure it as it is and tell us it is worn; we allow for it.
Two photos
End on with the bars visible, and side on showing the riser and V-ring. They settle the type and catch anything the numbers miss.

Starter or alternator size?

The twelve standard sizes are quoted from the range, and anything else from five simple measurements on the made-to-measure form.

What happens next

We check the dimensions against the drawing, get the factory's price and come back within 2 working days (large commutators up to 5 working days) with a firm price ex and inc VAT, delivery included, the standard lead time (4 to 5 weeks by sea) and the urgent option (faster by air). If something does not add up we ask before quoting rather than make the wrong part. Accept the quote and we send a pro-forma invoice to pay by bank transfer.

Lead time

Standard parts are made to order and shipped by sea: 4 to 5 weeks door to door, confirmed with the quote. Larger diameters can take longer; we tell you before you commit.

Urgent? Air freight

Most rewind jobs are holding up a machine. Ask for the urgent option and we air-freight the finished part, quoted alongside the standard price so you can choose.

Checked and guaranteed

We check every drawing and dimension before the order goes to the factory, so the part is made right first time. Every commutator carries a 12-month replace-or-refund warranty.
